Owen R. and Erma F. Smith of Castro Valley, California, have been entrepreneurs and business owners for 40 years. They have taken a consistently active role in promoting education. Grateful for the freedom to choose, they established The Smith Center to increase awareness and understanding of the principles of property rights, entrepreneurship, limited government, and free markets. They hope other entrepreneurs will be encouraged to support and promote free market principles.
